No they wouldn't & if the same thing happened with The Beatles, they too, would not be currently as successful.

I don't think either one would be a "corporate creation"

The Go-Go's & Bangles avoided that, while the "corporate creation method" was already in-place, imo.

Well back in 1975 I wouldn't imagine that it was generally accepted of teenage girls showing a lot of skin on stage. But you look on the Grammy's where possibly a whole family could be watching and you'll find that!

So I think that it'd be nothing new. It's part of culture today (possibly unfortunately) so they'd blend in. The music would make them stand out, maybe, because they made raw hard rock music, whereas the Jonas Brothers, well their fans could probably give less of a f*ck!

So I think they'd kind of be like the White Stripes. Popular but still respectable (well to a degree, haha)

Sorry, I'm rambling

They would still kick butt - Those girls could play and Joan Jett went on to become one the best rockers of all time. Lita Ford could play guitar with most male lead guitarists - She is the Jimmy Page of female guitar players.

In today's musical landscape, they'd likely blend right in. The 90s gave us a slew of female-frinted rock bands. So it'd be nothing new in 2010.

(or do you mean if No other female bands had come out at all before 2010?)

They'd have to not only be *extremely* good, but Very different somehow to stand out. Kids now have dozens of other things competing for their attention. Otherwise, they'd probably just make a minor splash.

Both. Depends on who's voicing their opinion. Don't forget that manufactured bands are nothing new and have been around long before either the Jonas Bros. or The Runaways (who were manufactured only to a degree-most of the members were actively trying to get a band together before they had the misfortune to run into Kim Fowley)
