♥ Long Live Cobain ♥ asked:
band t-shirts?
Some people think they are stupid and pointless and and others like them and wear them a lot.
I personally like them and think they are nice way of showing that you are a fan of a particular band. Although, its annoying when people wear them to fit in or be cool. I think you should at least appreciate and listen to the music.
Like, one time I saw a girl wearing a The Who t-shirt and I asked her if she actually ever listened to their music and she just said “no, but they look cool.” I thought that was really dumb. Your thoughts?
If you have any, which bands? (I have Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix shirts
)

I think it’s all based on opinion and everyone is entitled to one…I wear band t shirts others don’t…doesn’t phase me
I like them. I wear them all of the time.
BA: avril lavigne
They’re cool. I agree with you, it’s a nice way of showing you’re a fan.
But it really bothers me when people wear them and they don’t even listen to the band.
I love band T-Shirts! (Even though I don’t own any. No money= no shirts. Lol) But if I did have money I’d so go splurge on band Ts! I have a huge LOVE for music and I like to display it.
When people wear them to fit in it’s just idiotic. I’m sorry.
I think there are some guys though that just look mouthwatering in band Ts. Mmm-mmmm-mm!
I do support band t-shirts. What’s wrong with it, you know?
But it is true, that there are people who wear them because it makes them “cool”. And that is rather frustrating, because it makes the real listeners potentially “fake”. But why should one care, anyway? If you really know and like the band, then you don’t have to worry about it.
I have a lot of Beatles shirts…that’s about half of my wardrobe. And I have a couple of Elliott Smith ones and The Postal Service. I recently got a Chicago one, and Pink Floyd.
BQ: A lot of the musicians in the fifties, sixties, seventies were attractive…I find Paul McCartney in his beard phase to be pretty hot. Ooh, and Francoise Hardy…Nico, too, like the user above said.
But in the present, I’d say Jenny Lewis, Britt Daniel, Conor Oberst…and…..ah…Chris Martin.
I am all for it, as long as its not for (as you say) posing. They don’t sell band shirts where I live really. When they do they aren’t really band shirts but more like fashion items with the band logo as an afterthought, or maybe with a stencilled image of some famous person. Doesn’t really count. If I could get them, I’d always wear them : )
BA: Guy… Richard Kruspe, Rammstein’s lead guitarist. Girl… Amy Lee, she’s hot!
I used to wear them when I was younger. I had the older Metallica covers; Justice, master, Jump In The Fire. I was actually toying with the idea of getting the Death Magnetic t-shirt last month but chose against it. I’m 34 and I would probably feel self conscious wearing something with a coffin design splashed all over it.
BQ. It was Lee Aaron in the 80’s, Jan Kuehnemund of Vixen in the 90’s and now it’s the lead singer of Dutch band Delain, Charlotte Wessels. As I get older, they get younger – go figure lol.
